A Kansas Parole offender was hurt in a work related accident and fell into a coma. The hospital transferred the offender to a hospital in Nebraska. Sally and the Nebraska Interstate Compact Office quickly responded to outreach and worked to make a very smooth transition in transferring supervision to their state. While we recognize that many states would assist in this process, Sally went above and beyond by making this a easy transition, creating only solutions in the situation. In addition, her patience in reporting instructions and working out the many details made the process easy on all parties involved. Sally and her team did a wonderful job in showing what the spirit of the compact really is.
