Training and technical assistance opportunities are available to the Interstate Commission for Adult Offender’s member states both on-site and online. National Trainers, appointed by the Education, Training & Public Relation’s Committee, are available to facilitate training on a variety of subjects to all professionals impacted by the Interstate Compact for Adult Offender Supervision and/or involved in the supervision of probationers and parolees.Online TrainingProviding training opportunities via the web enables the Commission to reach audiences without limitations due to geographic location or time constraints. The Commission offers a variety of online media which can accommodate virtually all individuals with an internet browser. Currently, trainings include WebEx, live-instructor facilitated trainings, and On-Demand training modules, which are available 24-7. Live Instructor Led (interactive) WebEx blends data, voice and video communications, simulating live face-to-face trainings. These trainings can be scheduled and open for registration or can be scheduled for a specific group or audience upon request. For information on upcoming training sessions or to register for an upcoming training session, go to the WebEx calendar.
On-Demand (self-paced) On-demand training modules are self-paced training sessions which are available 24-7. These modules can be stopped, restarted or searched for particular subject matter. On-Site TrainingEach member state is responsible for providing Interstate Compact training to Line Officers, Attorneys, Judges, State Council members, etc. educating all administrations and authorities. The National Office may assist in these efforts by providing a National Trainer to facilitate on-site trainings or workshops at the request of a state’s Commissioner. Individuals should contact their respective state Compact Office and/or Commissioner for information regarding training opportunities or to channel a request to the National Office.Due to limited funds available and to ensure fair and equitable treatment for each member state, all requests for on-site training or technical assistance must be received and responded to in accordance with the Training and Technical Assistance Policy.
