Pat Tuthill in MSNBC Documentary
Friday, February 22, 2008 / 376 reads  In the summer of 2007 ICAOS National Victims' Representative, Pat Tuthill, appeared in a segment of the MSNBC prison documentary "Lockup: Holman - Extended Stay". Filmed in Alabama at the maximum security Holman Prison, Tuthill was there to help death row inmates understand the aftermath of violent crime and restorative justice. Revised Compact Forms
Monday, February 04, 2008 / 1260 readsThe Training Committee has revised a few of the ICAOS forms to conform to the recent Rule amendments which became effective January 1, 2008.
The official forms can be accessed via the Compact Forms Page. As a reminder, you must be logged in to view or download the forms from the website. You can view the complete list of changes on the Forms Change Log.
Although it is important that all states use the official and most up-to-date forms, the committee and national office realize that states will need time to inform their field offices of the updates and ensure their local drives and systems have the up-to-date versions of the forms. Therefore, 60 days will be allowed as a grace period upon implementing the new forms.

Probable Cause Hearing Guide Released
Friday, February 01, 2008 / 894 readsThe Training Committee has made a “Probable Cause Hearing Guide” available on the ICAOS website under Training/Supplemental Materials. This guide is intended to assist probation officers who are unfamiliar in conducting probable cause hearings to ensure that the requirements of Rule 5.108 are fulfilled, as well as provide direction and an outline for probable cause hearings. The guide includes a list of the minimum due process requirements, a sample script for a hearing officer plus an example of a summary/report.
