Proposed Amendments to ICAOS Rules

Pursuant to ICAOS Rule 2.109 (b), the Rules Committee has posted the proposals submitted by the regions and standing committees to amend ICAOS rules. These proposals will be open for written comments until August 15, 2009. Based on the comments received, the Rules Committee will prepare a final draft of each proposal for consideration by the Commission at the 2009 Annual Business Meeting.

The proposals may be viewed at the ICAOS website’s “2009 Proposed Rule Amendments” Discussion Forum. This forum is open to all Commissioners, Compact Administrators, Deputy Compact Administrators and ex officio members.

The committee’s intent is to post proposals sufficiently in advance of final consideration to allow each to be fully discussed in every state and in regional meetings. This discussion is crucial to the enactment of viable and meaningful rules which advance the goals of the compact. Please take the time to give each proposal your thoughtful consideration.
