Overview
Article III of the Interstate Compact for Adult Offender Supervision provides that the Interstate Commission "shall establish an Executive Committee which shall have the power to act on behalf of the Interstate Commission during periods when the Interstate Commission is not in session, with the exception of rulemaking and/or amendment to the Compact." The compact further empowers the Commission, under Article V, "to establish and appoint committees which it deems necessary for the carrying out of its functions."
